What cookies are
A cookie is a small text file that a site stores on your device so that it can recognise the browser on the next page or the next visit. Some are deleted the moment you close the tab, and those are called session cookies. Others stay for a set period and are called persistent cookies.
Similar technologies such as local storage and tracking pixels do the same job by different means. Everything written on this page applies to them as well.
Why we use them
Without cookies an account could not stay signed in between pages, and a bet slip would empty every time you opened a game. Beyond that basic job, they keep the interface in the language and currency you picked, help us spot unusual sign-in patterns, and show which parts of the lobby people actually use.
The groups we set
Cookies on this site fall into four groups, and only the first one is set without asking you.
- Strictly necessary: keep you signed in, hold the cashier session, apply your account limits and protect against fraud. These cannot be switched off, because the site stops working without them.
- Functional: remember the language, the currency, the sound setting and which lobby tab you were last on.
- Analytics: count visits, measure how long pages take to load and show which sections are used, in aggregated form.
- Marketing: measure whether a campaign brought a visitor to the site and avoid showing the same message twice.
Functional, analytics and marketing cookies are set only after you agree to them through the banner, and that choice can be changed later without closing the account.
Cookies set by others
Some cookies come from partners rather than from us. The live chat provider sets one so that a conversation survives a page reload. Game studios set their own inside the game window so that a round is not lost. Analytics and advertising partners set theirs under their own policies.
We cannot read or control what a third party stores through its own cookie, and their privacy notices govern that data. Where consent is required, those cookies wait until you give it.
How to manage them
There are two routes. The cookie banner on this site handles your consent for everything except the strictly necessary group, and reopening it lets you change the answer. Your browser settings sit above that and can block or delete cookies for every site you visit.
- Chrome: Settings, then Privacy and security, then Third-party cookies.
- Safari: Settings, then Safari, then Privacy and security on iOS, or Preferences and Privacy on a Mac.
- Firefox: Settings, then Privacy and Security, then Cookies and Site Data.
- Edge: Settings, then Cookies and site permissions.
- Private or incognito windows discard cookies when the window closes.
Deleting cookies signs you out and clears any saved preferences, so the next visit starts from a blank slate.
What changes if you refuse
Refusing functional cookies means the language, currency and layout choices are not remembered, so they have to be set again on each visit. Refusing analytics and marketing cookies changes nothing on screen and costs you no feature at all.
Blocking strictly necessary cookies in the browser stops sign-in from working, since the session cannot be held. That is a limitation of how browsers work rather than a restriction we apply.
Changes and contact
This page is updated whenever the cookies we set change, and the version on screen is always the current one. How the resulting personal data is handled is covered by our privacy policy, which sits alongside this page in the footer.Questions about a specific cookie can be sent to [email protected] or asked through the live chat on any page.
